Australian Aid has provided funds to implement two components of the Cook Islands National Gender Equality Policy. Taskforce Teams will oversee the development of community activities that will focus on implementing change in the following areas over the 2014-2016 period:
1. Strengthening capacity for gender responsive development towards an enabling environment for the full participation of women in economic development.
2. Strengthening capacity towards the elimination of violence against women
