The Short Term Employment Permit for New Zealand & Australia Passport Holders Program is a joint collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration (MFAI), Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (INTAFF). The Government Program was created in response to the Private Sector’s high demands in regards to labor shortages of skilled workers in particular national industries.

This program offers the opportunity to fast track the processing of permit for NZ & AUS passport holders willing to work here in the Cook Islands on a short term contract. The work permit under this program is valid for six (6) months and can only be extended once.
